I accept commissions for paintings of landscapes, houses, people, and pets. Below is everything you need to know about requesting a commissioned piece, in Q&A format.

 

Q: Are you open for commissions?

Not corrently. I'm working on a couple of pet portrait commissions at the moment, and preparing for a solo gallery exhibition. I will be open to new requests starting October 5th, 2026.

Q: How should I reach out to you about a commission?

Q: What should I include in my email?

• The subject of the painting

• Size

• Attach any reference photos

• Anything else you'd like me to know (ex. medium, style, colour palette)​

Q: How much lead time do you need?

1-3 months. But don't hesitate to reach out regardless of your desired delivery date and we can discuss what's possible. 

 

Q: Can I get photo updates of my piece in process?

Yes, I will send you a photo of the preparation stages (sketch, colour scheme, etc.) in case you have any feedback early on. I will be taking photo and video regardless of whether you request updates, and you will receive a photo of the piece for your approval prior to shipping.

Q: How much do you charge for commissions, and when do I pay?

I charge 50% of the quoted price up front, and I will not start work on a piece until I receive the 50% deposit. The deposit is not refundable. The art will be delivered to you only once you confirm you're happy with the photo of the completed piece and pay the remaining balance.

I price by size, and by subject. The following prices are for the unframed artwork and do not include the cost of shipping (if applicable). I hand deliver artwork to locals (not including the Detroit area, or beyond Leamington.) I will confirm the price via email after I hear from you and know the exact size you would like. All prices listed are in Canadian dollars.

People portraits (a single person, NOT framed):

A 5 x 7 in starts at $90, and prices range up to about $350 for an 11 x 14 in piece.

If you would like 2 or more people, the price goes up $20 for each person added. (Ex. a 5 x 7 in piece including 2 people would cost $110.)

 

Pet portraits (a single pet, NOT framed):

A 5 x 7 in starts at $75, and prices range up to about $300 for an 11 x 14 in piece.

If you would like 2 or more pets, the price goes up $20 for each pet added. (Ex. a 5 x 7 in piece including 2 pets would cost $95.)

Everything else (NOT framed):

A 5 x 7 in starts at $75, and prices range up to about $450 for an 11x14 in piece.
